Members of GOT7 posted a written letter to fans and posted it on their individual Instagram accounts.
The message translate to
Ahgase (iGOT7), this is GOT7. First of all, we feel very sorry to our baby birds for having to write this letter for such a reason. We have decided not to renew our contracts with JYP Entertainment who we started our journey with and who did their best for us until the end, as we cheer on each other’s future.
All of us will be taking on a new start with people who will take responsibility together for each of our individual futures. We are writing to you like this as we want to tell our fans first.
We know very well that nothing we say will be able to ease the hurt and anxiety that Ahgases are feeling. However, there is one thing that we can say to Ahgases as GOT7.
We will all continue to make music for you, share it with you, and continue spending time together in the future.
Rather than leaving the memories with Ahgases who supported and watched over the imperfect us, we want to aim towards the future with memories. Making it into reality instead of just a ray of hope, the seven of us will impress you for a long time as we each grow in different ways.
Love you, iGOT7JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Bambam, and Yugyeom.
