Moon Ga Young, Astro’s Cha Eun Woo and Hwang In Yeob is the main cast of tvN’s romance comedy, True Beauty 여신강림 that premiere on 9 December 2020. The webtoon adapted drama is about Im Joo Kyung (Moon Ga Young) who refused to be caught without make-up due to her insecurities. However, her heart skipped a beat when she met the only man, Lee Su Ho (Astro’s Cha Eun Woo) who see her bare face.
Lee Suho and Han Seo Jun (Hwang In Yeob) are friends since middle school, they work towards the same dream but a life-changing event happened and they part ways. Su Ho and Seo Jun’s friendship became better after Joo Kyung appear.
During the interview, they talked about their roles in the drama. Moon Ga Young shared that she took a fair bit of time to study the character of Joo Kyung and her ‘need’ to make up. It is a sensitive topic to touch on the insecurities of one based on looks.
Astro’s Cha Eun Woo mentioned that his members Sanha and Moonbin are big fans of the webtoon and felt that he suits Su Ho well. His main concern is to differentiate Lee Su Ho with Do Kyung Suk in My ID is Gangnam Beauty which are same but different in their own ways, and how do give a differentiated vibe while playing Lee Su Ho.
Hwang In Yeob talks about how his recent the experience acting as a high school student in 18 Again helps him get into his character Han Seo Jun quickly. Han Seo Jun is a rebellious and cold on the surface but warm and considerate at heart, In Yeob mentioned that he really like the character and grateful to be able to take on the role.
