The first 2 episodes was made to have a strong backstory for Park Sae Roy (Park Seo Joon). How because he stood up against the bully in class made him dropout of middle school, made his father loss his job and eventually lost his life.

He was unlucky because he punched Jang Geun Won (Ahn Bo Hyun), the eldest son to CEO Jagga, Jang Dae Hee (Yoo Jae Myung) the ruthless person.

Geun Won accidentally killed Sae Roy’s father and drives him crazy. He went to beat him up and was thrown behind bars for 2-3 years for not kneeling before him to apologise as per Jang Dae Hee’s wish.

Welcome to Itaewon

First encounter in Itaewon. After he was released from jail, he went to find Soo Ah who lives in Itaewon. She showed him around the vibrant and cheerful neighbourhood and spent a good halloween with her there.

7 years later

The real beginning when Sae Roy say he is going to open his restaurant 7 years later. During the 7 years after released from jail, he went deep water fishing and did not contact his first love Oh Soo Ah (Nara) ever since.

At 29 years old, Soo Ah is a successful brand manager under Jagga group. When she is about to forget details of Sae Roy, he appear in front of her in his new restaurant in Itaewon.

The sociopath

Jo Yi Seo (Kim Da Mi) is a influencer in social media scene, smart and capable to do anything she wants and ace it. She stood up for bullies in school (similar to Sae Roy) in the modern world using tech.

She has a friend that is having a crush on her. Jang Geun Soo (Kim Dong Hee) is also the founding member you see in the Itaewon class.

Crosspath

Caught in the middle of the conversation of Sae Roy’s reunion with his nemesis, she start to take interest. Her and the clique caused him to stop business for 2 months yet he is not angry. Slowly, the sociopath start to develop interest and like him.

Looks like she wants to help Sae Roy’s business and it will only gets better. Maybe the romance line will be stronger once Sae Roy found out his first love, Soo Ah has changed.

I am excited to see how she will bring more positive emotions and variety to Sae Roy.
