The drama is about the romance between a man with mysophobia and a carefree and untidy girl. Jang Sun Gyeol (Yoon Kyun Sang) is the CEO of his own cleaning company, named the Cleaning Fairy, even though he is rich and has good looks. However, he suffers from severe mysophobia. Gil Oh Sol (Kim Yoo Jung) work all sorts of part-time jobs while waiting for a chance to get her full-time role, she joined Sun Gyeol’s cleaning company.
Finally a full-time job
Oh Sol used up 97 pens and pencils trying to fill up application for a full time job, face countless rejections and suddenly a new 3.5million Korean Won debt for the accident she caused. She was desperate and determine to find any job to have a regular income after she realized her father Gil Gong Tae (Kim Won Hae) lost his job.
Oh Sol gear up and passed all the examinations posted by the Cleaning Fairy. Entering the company as the only female that passed the exam and realized her creditor is the CEO of the company.
Under Clean Fairy, there are many employees but the core members include Secretary Gwon (Yoo Sun), a very reserved but reliable Lee Dong Hyun (Yang Hak Jin), goofy senior Hwang Jae Min (Cha In Ha), newbie Jeon Young Shik (Go Geon Han) who is also Oh Sol’s brother Gil Oh Dol (Lee Do Hyun) best friend.
Lovesickness
Sun Gyeol developed mysophobia due to the childhood scars that his grandfather left after he went home covered in dirt like any other kid. His grandfather caned him and call him a disgrace for not being proper and clean.
After a few encounters, he realized that it is okay to touch another human and her belongings without feeling horrified. Oh Sol’s rooftop neighbor Daniel Choi Ha In (Song Jae Rim) is actually a certified psychologist who is helping Sun Gyeol over the phone.
A love triangle formed when Ha In confessed to Oh Sol and at the same time, Sun Gyeol confirmed he has feelings for Oh Sol.
Moving together
Sun Gyeol confirmed his feelings towards Oh Sol and that open the door to curing his mysophobia. Oh Sol also developed feelings for Sun Gyeol, even though they were at the rocky beginning due to the inexperience in love.
Grandfather indirectly threatens Oh Sol to not accept the feelings of Sun Gyeol. But he arranged Oh Sol to be a stay-in housekeeper in hopes to cure his grandson. Oh Sol accepted the job offer to save Oh Dol’s future.
Ha In felt something is off from their phone call and found out Oh Sol isn’t assigned to Busan for work but was living with Sun Gyeol. He made his way to be Sun Gyeol’s personal physician and get the ticket to live under the same roof.
Short dating life
Sun Gyeol’s mother knows about the warning her father pose to Oh Sol, she went up to stop her father from ruining her son’s life. Oh Sol and Sun Gyeol went ahead to start their dating life after much struggle.
Grandfather is not please with the arrangement and sabotage Oh Dol’s taekwondo life. Oh Sol’s mother was a victim of AD, the company by Grandfather. After knowing Sun Gyeol is the grandson and connected to AD, Oh Sol initiate a break up to part ways.
2 years later
Sun Gyeol left Korea and came back a new man 2 years later. He struggled but managed to cure his mysophobia. Now he is back in the country wanting to start all over again, also win back Oh Sol.
Overall, this is a light-hearted romantic comedy that focus on childhood trauma. How impactful one can cause to a child and leave such a crazy scar that bubbles into a disorder.
Cleaning might look like a good job, but clean place brings positivity and smile to others.
