Forbidden love between the North and South Koreans, the romance that no one will ever think it is even possible since they are closed up individually to the other. There are countless points in the drama that made it so wholesomely good.
Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin) is a chaebol in South Korea who made an emergency landing in the country that she is not supposed to be in due to a paragliding accident. She met a North Korean special officer, Ri Jung Hyuk (Hyun Bin) who falls for her and been hiding and protecting her in the North.
SPOILER
Landing into the North
Se Ri paraglide to celebrate her succeeding the role to Queens (her father’s empire) and beat out both her older brother. Things went wrong and the weather brings her to the north and landed on the tree near the site that Jung Hyuk patrols in.
Accept and adapt

After Se Ri found out that she landed in the North, she felt overwhelmed by all the differences. With the help of Jung Hyuk and his reliable men from the 5th company, she slowly learns to adapt and plan her escape back to the South.
5th company soldiers including Master Sergeant Pyo Chi Su (Yang Kyung Won), First Lieutenant Park Kwang Beom (Lee Shin Young), Staff Sergeant Kim Ju Muk (Yoo Soo Bin), and Private First Class Geum Eun Dong (Tang Jun Sang).
Multiple escapes
From episode 1 to 10, they are plotting for escapes back to the South, and not every escape is successful yet dangerous. After every failed escape, Jung Hyuk bonded even deeper with Se Ri and eventually fell in love.
Friendship

When Jung Hyuk is not around protecting Se Ri, the 5th company men are there for her. Every goodbyes they have is so precious, everything that they taught each other is adorable in their own way.

The engaged other half
Being a chaebol, Se Ri did have an arranged marriage with Goo Seung Jun (Kim Jung Hyun) which ended because Se Ri found out his plot against her family. Seung Jun and Se Ri reunited in the least expected place, North Korea and Se Ri’s 2nd brother wants to keep her there for good.
Jung Hyuk in the other end was engaged to Seo Dan (Seo Ji Hye) through family’s arrangement. Seo Dan was having a one-sided crush on Jung Hyuk since school days but he did not leave any impression until she went to Switzerland to find him.
However, things just don’t work that way. Instead, we have another forbidden love here.

Finally home

After multiple attempt, Se Ri is finally back home in Seoul. She will have to face the battle with her family alone and losing the chance to see her love of her life is sad. Back home, she have to prove her self and get her company back.
Protecting to the South
Jung Hyuk finally cracked open the mystery behind his brother’s death. However, the mastermind made an escape to disappear in the North and head for Se Ri in the South. After Jung Hyuk knows, he went to protect Se Ri.

Jung Hyuk’s father is furious and sent his son’s loyal men to the South to find him and bring him home.
In the South

You will love to see them in the South, fascinated by everything there.
However, the NIS (National Intelligence Security) found out the Norths are in their land and went on to find out who they are, why they are here. Of course they found them and things was on another level.
Cameos, end up we have Kim Soo Hyun and Choi Ji Woo and not Lee Seung Gi.

There are many things packed in the drama emotionally. This is by far my favourite drama in 2020.
