Based on a webtoon, D.P. is a military drama that follows the life of a private soldier Ahn Joo Ho. Joon Ho is struggling to adapt to military life, Sergeant Park Bum Goo witness it and offer him the role to join the D.P. squad.

D.P. in short stands for deserter pursuit, a unit within the military to catch all the deserters. Every runaway private soldiers have their own story to tell but the common issue is bullying.

Bully defines as ‘to threaten to hurt someone, often frightens someone else, and often over a period of time. Often forcing them to do something that they do not want to do.’

As a new batch of recruits in the facility, it almost seems like a norm to obey the seniors, and that even means to please their unrespectful and inhumane behavior. Sergeant Park Bum Goo (Kim Sung Kyun) knows what is going on and reached out to give Ahn Joon Ho (Jung Hae In) an option out.

Nothing to lose, Ahn Joon Ho chose to join them in the pursuit.

Out for missions

One failed first mission, Joon Ho was assigned to follow another senior to lead and guide him along the way. Han Ho Yul (Koo Kyo Hwan) is very unlike a disciplined soldier, he knows how to be flexible and the common loopholes and secret hiding spots of the deserters.

Together, they went across the country to find the deserters and have moments to build up their rapport.
