90s babies should not find this series unfamiliar as it was based on the Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club. If you enjoyed series like The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, this might be your cup of tea.

The drama is about the world of fairies and set in the magical boarding school in the Otherworld called Alfea College. Bloom is a new transfer student and first time on the Otherworld and has both human parents.

The ancient creatures known as the Burned Ones have returned to the Otherworld and start to threaten the lives of the fairies and every being in Alfea.

Learning to control

Bloom is a newbie and has no idea how to control her power. Being a fire fairy and totally new to the Otherworld, Bloom finds everything challenging but thanks to her roommate Aisha, a water fairy, she found a companion.

Along with Bloom and Aisha, they share a suite with Stella the light fairy, Terra the earth fairy, and Musa the mind fairy.

Burned ones

The Burned Ones are the crazy powerful creatures that move fast. Once one survived an encounter but left infected, the only way to fully recover is to kill the one that attacked him/her. Bloom chance upon one when she went back to the first world to see her parents, but powerless Bloom was saved by Farah Dowling, the Headmistress of Alfea.

Beatrix is an air fairy, a dangerous student that is keen to dig out the dark history of Alfea. She is one of the powerful fairies who can manipulate electricity and does not care if she needs to kill someone else to reach her goal.

Her goal is to free Rosalind, the previous Headmistress of Alfea who was kept locked by Farah. She brought Bloom to somewhere outside of the school and show her the secret that Farah kept from everyone.

Bloom found out that she is a changeling and her parents are not her birth parents. She is determine to help Beatrix to free Rosalind but have no idea what impact she have created to Alfea when Rosalind is out.

The season ended with the suite girls finally formed a bond and after their weekend visit to Bloom’s first world home, they head back to school and saw a major change. Rosalind became the Headmistress of Alfea and Farah is nowhere to be found. Farah’s right and left hand man was somehow caught.
