Adapted from a web novel of the same name. The romance between long-lost high school friends reunited after more than a decade through an online mobile game. Yu Tu (Yang Yang) is an aerospace engineer that struggles between dream and bread. Qiao Jing Jing (Dilraba Dilmurat) is a popular female actress.
Reconnecting
Qiao Jingjing is a popular female celebrity with countless endorsements, one of them is an online mobile game that she was accidentally exposed her lie of being an ace. To prove that she is good at it and to save her endorsement, she agrees to join the friendly competition a month later.
Her situation is so sensitive that it is hard to find a good mentor/coach to brush up on her skill within such a short time frame. Trying her luck, Jingjing added Yu Tu through QQ (old messenger platform) and to the game. She connects with him after more than a decade.
After playing games with Yu Tu and his group of friends including Zhai Liang (Ian Wang), she got close and found an excuse to meet him. After much convincing, Yu Tu agrees to be Jingjing’s coach until the competition day while he is on leave to sort out personal direction.
Struggle between bread and dream
Yu Tu’s dream is to launch his design up to the galaxy but being an aerospace engineer does not earn much. He took finance and learn to invest in college and all his peers are of a certain level in the industry or earning comfortably to support family.
Spending every day from 9 am to 9 pm together, Jingjing realizes that she still likes Yu Tu and he notices his feelings towards her. Considering too much, thinking that he cannot provide her in terms of financial support and a future, he rejected her second confession.
Sorting out
After rejecting Jingjing, Yu Tu regrets every single day and minute. But he sorts out his career direction and resumes his role as an aerospace engineer. Guan Zai (Pan Yue Ming) suddenly fell really ill and Yu Tu has to step in in life to support his friend and at work for his respected senior.
Unlike his tamed character, Yu Tu went forward with tactics and hope to chase Jingjing back. Spending the Lunar New Year back in their hometown, through old classmates gathering, he managed to turn the table around.
You are my glory
Their dating life begins, a sweet yet long-distance plays a major role in their lives. With Yu Tu working in the aerospace industry, in a top-secret government sector requires working off-site for a relatively long period and unable to let others know your location or what you are exactly working on.
On the other hand, Jing jing is claiming more and more actress awards which means getting more endorsements and job opportunities. With every new drama, it will take at least 1 to 4 or even 5 months away from home.
Be true to yourself, work hard for it and one day you will see the result. It might not be one week, month, or even a year. Consistent effort and hard work will pay off and reward you someday.
Overall, the production value I will give 11 out of 10. The acting from both the A-list actors, Yang Yang and Dilraba’s chemistry is skyrocket high. The storyline is beautiful and understands that they are paying respect to the aerospace industry as a whole. #salute
