Even before the K-drama craze or the C-drama craze, we have the Hong Kong drama dominating the drama scene. Hong Kong movies impact many from the 80s-90s onward and they are doing as well for their dramas.

Here are a few dramas that I love and will still re-watch it from time to time.

#1 The Hippocratic Crush (2012)

The drama revolves around the hospital, lives of housemen (medical interns) to doctors who finding what department to specialize in. Cheung Yat Kit (Kenneth Ma) is practicing in Neurosurgery for and knew that is what he wanted to do. People respect and fear him as much. Romance is not in his life plans until he met Fan Chi Yu (Tavia Yeung).

The classic family drama that made me re-watched more than 20 times (literally) and still not sick of it.

The drama beings when Chung Siu Hor (Louis Lee) and her husband Kam Tai Jo (Ha Yu) divorce and separated their 6 children along with the bakery they work hard together with. Time flies and decades later, all of them are adults.

#3 Over Run Over (2016)

The drama happen in the same timeline and on loop, 1 April. EU Sergeant Ling San Fung (Tracy Zhu) was on call to assist a criminal chase, the 3 days long chasing involve a gun battle that accidentally killed her father. The continuous chase lead her to a strange venue and when she woke up, she is back to 1 April.

The drama brings us back to the Tang Dynasty, the era where the King has 6 spoiled princesses. In order not to marry to another country, the third princess Chieu Yeung (Charmaine Sheh) agree to marry a local business family, Kam Family’s second son Gum Do Luk (Moses Chan). The third princess is the King’s favorite child, she is pretty and kind yet can be unreasonable at times. Their lives start to turn round and round when the court lady want to kill Chieu Yeung.

The first installment that lead to three other seasons after its successful premiere.

The drama revolves around the numerous crime cases that needs to be solved. The police isn’t the only core to investigate, we see how the forensic team lead up Tim Sir (Bobby Au) help to piece out any evidence that lead them to the real murderer.

#6 Legal Mavericks (2017)

The drama beings with the blind lawyer, Man Sun Hop aka Hope (Vincent Wong) lost his sight after an accident. He later met Kuk Yat Ha Gogo (Owen Cheung) and together with Chiu Ching Miu (Sisley Choi), they formed the Three Sword Fighter. Journey to seek justice, they met a playful judge Wong Lai Fan Never (Ali Lee) and their turbulent journey begins.

#7 A Journey Called Life (2008)

#8 Short End of the Stick (2016)

#10 Line Walker (2014)

He inherited the 5 undercover that his late colleague sent out but it is quiet a journey to find them as their records are erased from the system.
