Perfect and Casual is adapted by a novel from the same title. The drama is about a perfectionist, the legend professor figure Zhang Sinian (Miles Wei) and a sunshine girl Yun Shu (Xu Ruo Han) entering a contract marriage as a white lie to Zhang Sinian’s grandfather.
Life downfall
Yun Shu was hopeful about life after graduation, the house that she will be purchasing using money her parents life behind, slow and steady to find a easy job. However things never goes the way you want in life.
Due to the house signing agreement, Yun Shu arrived at the final debate session exam 5 min and tat bit seconds late. Most professors might just close one eye, but she is unlucky and met Merciless Sinian that strike her off the stage for being late. Yun Shu has to wait for another year to graduate.
The perfect house that she thought she bought was all a scam, an act by the cousin she trust. Her cousin ran away with all the money that her father left behind. Now she is homeless and penniless.
Saving a life
Sinian’s grandfather, Grandpa Zhang (Law Cui) is hospitalized due to stage four cancer. Finding similar medical cases for a better solution to cure his grandfather. The light at the end of the tunnel, an opportunity came and that is to undergo an operation.
To convince his Grandpa Zhang, Sinian went around the hospital desperately trying to find a fake girlfriend and chance upon Yun Shu who was there taking shelter in her friend’s Lin Nuo (Sheng Gang Shuai) nurse sleep pod.
Yun Shu agree to help Sinian and grandpa Zhang delightedly accepted the operation. To repay the homeless Yun Shu, Sinian offer his study room for her to stay until she has enough money to find a place to rent.
Girlfriend to wife
Yun Shu and her elder sister Yun Lan (Marguax Ma Yu Ting) basically support each other growing up. Unlike the optimist Yun Shu, Yun Lan is a capable lawyer, climbing up the ladder so fast that people are gossiping behind her back. When she found out about the contract, she was furious and wanted to stop Yun Shu.
Things escalates and they walked down the aisle, the biggest white lie to keep Grandpa Zhang happy. The marriage contract comes with an agreement between both to define their relationship clearly.
Groomsman and Bridesmaid
Lu Yu (Dai Yun Fan) is a popular celebrity and also Sinian’s childhood friend. One night stand happened some day in another foreign country between Lu Yu and Yun Lan. Surprised and shocked to reunite in the wedding of Sinian and Yun Shu. Their story begin from the wedding day.
Falling in love
Cliché as it is, when you live with someone and see him/her daily there will be good interest form. While trying to figure out his feelings towards Yun Shu, there are love rivals and other life obstacles set.
Other love interest
Yun Shu’s college best friends Gao Zhi Yi (Zhao Luo Ran) and Lin Nuo were couple but broke up and became friends. This is another pair to look out for when Zhi Yi is going all out to find next love with Lin Nuo stay by her side and keep a lookout for her.
